Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, CareerSteps branding, original text, visual design, website layout, assessment materials and other original platform content are owned by CareerSteps or used with permission.

You may access and use the content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You must not reproduce, resell, republish or distribute protected content without permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Third-party names, logos, images and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

07 / Digital tools

Career assessments and AI assistance

Career assessments and AI-assisted tools are designed to support exploration and learning. Their suggestions are not guarantees of academic success, admission, employment, income or suitability for a particular profession.

Results may depend on user responses, available information, assessment design and the capabilities or limitations of the technology used.

Users should independently verify important information and consider their own interests, qualifications, circumstances and goals before making decisions.

08 / Counselling

Online career counselling

CareerSteps may offer paid online career counselling. The scope, format, price, appointment process and service details are described on the counselling page or during booking.

Counselling is intended to help users discuss career interests and educational planning. It does not guarantee admission, a job, examination results or any particular career outcome.

Users should review the appointment details and any cancellation or rescheduling conditions displayed before completing a booking.

09 / Digital products

eBooks and downloadable resources

CareerSteps may offer downloadable digital products, including educational eBooks. Product descriptions, format, price, delivery method and access instructions are displayed on the relevant product page or during checkout.

Purchased digital content is intended for the purchaser's personal use unless a different license is expressly provided. Redistribution, resale or unauthorized public sharing is not permitted where restricted by applicable intellectual property law.

Users should check device compatibility and product details before purchase. For download or access problems, contact support with relevant transaction information.

10 / Transactions

Pricing, payments and refunds

Prices and applicable charges are shown on the relevant service or checkout page. The final amount displayed at checkout should be reviewed before payment.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Their payment processing terms and privacy practices may also apply.

The cancellation and refund conditions applicable to a purchase should be displayed on the relevant service, product or checkout page before payment. Any stated no-refund condition remains subject to applicable consumer-protection laws and other non-excludable rights.

If a payment is debited but an order or booking is not confirmed, or if a duplicate or incorrect transaction occurs, contact CareerSteps support with the transaction reference so the issue can be reviewed.

Before publishing, make sure your actual refund, cancellation, rescheduling and failed-payment procedures are clearly stated on the checkout and purchase pages.

11 / External services

Third-party websites and providers

CareerSteps may link to or use third-party services, including authentication, payment, analytics, hosting, educational and external information providers.

External websites and providers operate under their own terms and policies. Users should review those policies when using their services.

A link to an external resource does not, by itself, mean CareerSteps endorses every statement, product or service offered by that provider.

12 / Advertising

Advertisements and sponsored content

CareerSteps may display advertisements or other monetized content through third-party advertising providers.

Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own settings and applicable privacy requirements. CareerSteps does not control every claim or destination associated with third-party advertisements.

Users should exercise their own judgment when interacting with advertisements and review the applicable privacy and cookie policies.

13 / Service changes

Website availability and changes

CareerSteps may maintain, improve, update or modify website features, content and services over time.

We aim to keep the platform accessible, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party dependencies or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where a change materially affects a paid service already purchased, the applicable purchase terms and legal requirements will continue to apply.

14 / Legal information

Liability and legal rights

CareerSteps provides educational information and digital tools for career exploration. Users remain responsible for evaluating information and making their own academic and career decisions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CareerSteps is not responsible for outcomes arising solely from a user's independent decisions or reliance on information that should have been verified with an official or authoritative source.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict consumer rights, statutory protections or liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

15 / Account access

Suspension and termination

CareerSteps may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, platform security or service integrity, or to address suspected violations of these terms.

Where appropriate and permitted by law, users may be informed of the reason for a restriction and available support or review options.

Suspension or termination does not remove rights or obligations that have already arisen under applicable law or the terms of a completed purchase.

16 / Data and privacy

Privacy and cookies

The collection and use of personal information through CareerSteps are described in our Privacy Policy. Information about cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

17 / Jurisdiction

Governing law and disputes

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable legal requirements and the jurisdiction of courts or authorities legally entitled to hear the matter.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to users under applicable law.

18 / Updates

Changes to these terms

CareerSteps may revise these terms when its services, practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.

If a change requires specific notice or consent under applicable law, CareerSteps will follow the relevant requirements. Continued use alone will not override any legally required notice or consent process.
